Niagara 1812 set to debut
Carmine Provenzano was ready for a new soccer challenge and the idea of operating a pair of expansion teams out of Buffalo was too enticing to turn down.
The 58 year-old St. Catharines native has plenty of experience, building a League 1 program three years ago, and is now eager to lead Niagara 1812 as its chief operating officer/operations lead.
NIAGARA 1812 JOINS THE NPSL
The National Premier Soccer League (NPSL), the first and only men’s league designated by USASA as a Tier 1 national league, is proud to announce that Niagara 1812 has joined the league as an expansion team. The club will begin play in 2024.

BUFFALO, N.Y. (Feb. 14, 2024) – The Women’s Premier Soccer League announced today that Niagara 1812 will compete in the 2024 season as an expansion side in its East Region. With the announcement, the WPSL confirmed that the club has been aligned in the Lake Erie Division of the Great Lakes Conference.
